80LS1T Posted January 19, 2004 Share Posted January 19, 2004 If your going to go with a late model LT1 engine then try to find a 1995 Camaro/Firebird/Trans AM (Corvette engine is over rated...just a few more HP but if you rebuild this isnt really a concern)engine because it has the updated distributor and it is still OBD1. You can upgrade the 92-94(92' was in the corvettes) distributors to the updated version but if you just buy the 1995 LT1 then you wont have to worry about this. OBD1 engines are cheaper to program and you dont have to deal with O2 simulators. There is a lot info on the LT1 engine in the "CHEVY FORUM", just do a search for "LT1".
