Guest Anonymous
Depends..... is the other wheel being held still, or is it turning the same or opposite direction when you turn one wheel? If they are both turning the same direction and the same speed, the relationship is 1:1 ie. you would have a 1.25:1 rear end(Not likely!). The opposite wheel is probably sitting still, in which case the relationship is off by a factor of 2, or a ratio of approximately 2.5:1. Make sure the opposite wheel is not turning when you do this, then double the number of turns of the wheel to get the ratio. ------------------ Morgan morgan@z31.com http://carfiche.com http://z31.com
pparaska
...and if the opposite wheel is turning, but at a slower speed, all bets are off. The best thing to do on an open rear is hold the other side from turning and multiply the ratio of input-to-one-axle turns by 2.
