What motor mounts to use?

I've been following the JTR manual to swap a 350 into my 260Z and I have ordered the mounting kit. But what I am confused about is that the manual says I need to use the older style Chevy motor mounts instead of the Datsun mounts. Does anyone know what year and what vehicle those mounts come off of? Or even better, does anyone know the Chevy part number for these mounts?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Try section 2-4 of the JTR book where they state: "The Chevrolet motor mount, part no. 3990332,...."

I used the index in the back...:D

Did you buy yours at the Chevy dealer or online or where? I ordered my parts from JTR on Wednesday of this week and have not received them yet. Hopefully I will get them before next weekend when I can work on my project again. I tried to make my own parts too...took way too long so I just decided to order them.

Also, should I try to get the Datsun temp sensor and the Chrysler oil pressure sending unit from their respective dealers or do you guys have a better suggestion?

I picked the motor mounts up at a local parts store, Autovalve. They have been a real good store, I have to give the credit to the women at the counter... her male partner is a goof!

Anyway I'm installing a LT1 so Im in more need of answers myself...

You should be able to find your answers in the history or send a email to someone that has done the work already...

Good luck, I would he herting if it was not for this site... :P
