Help, my buddy wants to install a 289c.i. Ford in his1973 Z

My buddy wants to make an economical 240Z to ease into his early retirement from our local union. He believes there are installation kits to facillitate this endeavor. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately since the search is not working, you cannot use that tool right now. I would recommend browsing the Ford V8Z forum. I am not sure how similar the small-block Ford mounts are, or if they are all the same, but there is a fellow that sells a crossmember mount for Ford V8 installation. That is as close as you are going to get to a "kit". There are kits to install Chevy V8's, but no kits for Fords.

pick-up a copy of the jtr chevy installation manual. you'll need it. if you're using a front sump sbf, alsil's crossmember won't work, unless you cut off the crossmember. it's easy to build your own mounts. do a search and you should find at least a few ways to build them.
