Guest jjohart
Hi. I live in Natick, MA and my 83ZXT has very little rust, according to those who've looked at it (prev. owner never drove it in winter/garaged it). I'm the bugger who wants to use it as a daily driver, and I'm going to get it painted in Mar/April. I know nothing is foolproof, but I've seen a couple of products, one sold by MSA as a "paint over rust" (forget the name), and another, sold elsewhere, as a rust preventative to be sprayed into doors, fender inner sides, etc. I guess I'm wondering if I can at least moderately increase my Z's resistance to body and chassis rust, being as I'm probably exposing it in this year to more snow, ice etc than it had in the last 20! I know a standard car wash with undercarraige spray used regularly is ok, but is there anyway I can do the undercarraige with some chemical and an angled hose attachment (when it warms up outside, of course ). Thanks John-83 280ZXT 2 + 2, I/C, shocked, braked and 3" exhausted, 47Kmi. 8)
