240Z_Master
I'm trying to get straight what your problem is? I will soon be running Solex 40's with a Mikuni manifold...Not yet however. Also I live in Orange County, CA so maybe we can help each other when doing the install. Have you found anyone that can tune tripples for a cheap affordable price? preith
There's a guy on Ebay selling Solex carbs, and not Mikuni/Solex's. They look very similar to the Mikuni's. Are these what your talking about? I'm curious if anyone else has tried these on z's?
240Z_Master
I bought the 40 DCOE Solex ones from the dude in Italy, they seem very nice, I'm getting them rebuilt right now.
Guest JAMIE T
I bought a set of those also. Italian made solex carbs, and yes they are a direct replacement for weber/dellorto/mikuni carbs. Mine are for sale, I'm going V8. $125 if anyone is interested. I think that is less than I paid for them. Not to mention the shipping from Italy you can save. Mine are SUPPOSED to be ready to run, but since I have never run them, I can't vouch for that. I can say that the guy has a great ebay rating, and has sold probably thousands of carbs on ebeay. Just to correct you on this, the carbs will need to be rebuilt because the dude over there in Italy pulls them off of different applications. So that's what I did. Havn't got them back yet but hopefully all goes well.
