Guest DatsunLS6ZX
Where can I find step-by-step instuctions on a LS1/LS6 engine swap? Is there any performance mods that can be done once the swap is done?

JKDGabe
There is no manual for it... yet. Johns' cars of Ft. Worth did Phantoms and sells a kit, I believe if you buy the kit he'll give tech support. Several members here have done it. I can only remember Phantom, Maichor and Mas280 off the top of my head though. http://hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30022 http://hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30611
love-my-V8-280Z
Im installing a LT1 into a 280Z and if your thinking about it there is a lot of help here. Most everything you will need is answered here. But first it will cost you about $2,000 plus motor and trans to make it all work 100%. You can cut out some by going with a carbed motor. not much. Its not a hard swap, just will nickle and dime you to death! I shoud say $50 and $100 dollar you u to death! But it sure is going to be fun taking it to a car show... I will have to get a a chevy, V8, or a 5.8 liter (what ever liter it is I forget) and place one of these emblems on the the hood. Im having a great time! but I just bought a quart of black paint to paint the motor, valve covers, motor mounts and it was $40. Good luck Terry
JKDGabe
The LS1 and LT1 are different. The LT1 has the older motor mounts and the JTR kit works with it. There will still be some help here for you though. The 350 is 5.7 litres.
