Guest comeandzpa
RUST! Check the frame rails, battery tray, spare tire compartment, and fenders, as they were prone to major rusting....my frame rails were cracked in the middle when i bought the car, which I didn't know....welding them back together can be expensive. Guest zedixe13
Hi , check for :noisy rear axle , clunky rear axle shaft , noisy 5 speed in neutral at idle ( second shaft bearing won't go long ) or pilot bearing on clutch . Leaking injectors , cracked exaust manifold . The engine are pretty tough and can go on for ever if maintained . Go for the one with the best interior you can find , cause Nissan is just waiting for you at the corner to get your $$$ , prices are ridiculous if you're on a tight budget . Rubber seal , specially t-top ( $ 500. each here in Canada ) and perfect dash are impossible to find used in good cond. Other than that , rust is the biggest problem and a good body with a nice interior is always a prime candidate even if there's mecanicals problems. Ben'Z in Quebec city under 4 feets of snow .
