Guest whyteboy22
Just started swapping an 87 tpi v8 into my 83zx last week. Im using the jtr kit and it is all going smoothly so far. Looks like im going to be using the camaro's engine, trans, and shortened drive shaft all to the datsuns rear end. Im just wondering if the rear end will be able to handle the V8. pics of the cars before engines being pulled are at whyteboy. com also any tips would be appreciated
Mike kZ
The JTR kit is for early Zs, it won't work on a ZX. You don't need the offset to the rear. Not sure about the tranny mount, you may be able to use it. Your rear end should be fine for a stock TPI motor
Brad-ManQ45
For the engine, you only need the spacers made that are th width of the spacers in the JTR manual + the width of the setback plates. Not sure about tranny mount....
