Mack
got myself an LD28 short block for $70. anyone care to take a guess on how far this thing can be overbored? like, would 88mm be too much? stock is 84.5, but I remember someone saying that the LD28 block had much thicker cylinder walls than any other L28. something to do with the deisel. long rod stroker motor!! yay! who knows where from there. I am thinking I can get it up and running with j/y parts (except for the pistons) for under $300 total. we'll see McAdam
Z-Gad
Take the block apart and have it sonic tested to see how thick the cylinder walls are. Then you will know for sure how far over you can take it safely... Mike
