Guest Looking for apt in Alb Ny
Hey guys I have been working on this thing since Sept of last year. I was about to release them using my original hats from the 280z but it just wasn't going to work. I was going to make a 2 piece bracket for the caliper containing dowel pins so they can be used with the 280z hats on the 280zx. I scrapped that idea. So more money out the pocket to create the setup using hats specifically made for the 280zx strut. Now Let me tell you this is a very tight setup. The bolts have to be put on in a certain order. Almost like a puzzle but I enjoyed it and I sometimes felt like pulling my hair out creating it. The 280zx strut is so tight that there wasn't much room for messing around. the only thing that I had to modify was the rotor on the inner side. It barely skims the lower control arm. Not on the surface where the pads brake but more along the egde. Its a simple minor modification needed to be made with a hand grinder. The bracket is .38 thick and the rotor is 1.25 thick. Other than that I'd hate to get hit by this by a cave man. Strong. 2 people have had this on preorder for sometime now and I appreciate their patience with reworking the kinks out with this. Preorders are important because this reserves you a set and makes sure that if for some reason I decide down the road to end certain items .. and you know the rest of the story. They may speak about it when it arrives by Tuesday next week. Here are some photos. You can view more at this link. http://www.jskinnovations.com/Wilwood.htm So why is this setup so close and tight. Well the strut tube is very close to the spindles compared to the 280z strut. Getting this all fibbed together and being able to fit the Wilwood calipers without hitting the suspension has definitely been some homework for me. Some late hrs at the comp and always looking at prototype brackets came along with the project as well. The bolts have to go in a certain direction. The head of the rotor bolts must be on the inside or the nut on the end will hit the bracket bolts. Luckily everything works perfect and I am shocked myself. So take a look below thanks again! Juan The bracket must be put on first or you won't be able to bolt it up after. there are no taps in the strut spindle. So how would you bolt it down if the rotor is in the way? Right!!!! the bolt is a simple stock caliper bolt using an all metal lock nut on the end. Then simply slip on your rotor and hub and jam away. Next slip your caliper on and insert the all metal lock nut supplied for your caliper aligning it with the hole. Do not insert the bolt all the way through or you wont be able to start screwing in the bolt to the nut. Then stick a wrench in there and wrench away. This goes for the other side as well. So get it wrenched up and go brag to someone that you have a unique JSK setup on your 280zx. Juan

Guest Looking for apt in Alb Ny
Thanks Mike. It kinda looks Like everything else I have had on here.. Ill show more pics of the differences so you guys can compare. The bracket is different as well as the hat which sits slightly taller than 280z setups.. I gotta run Juan
