Guest dpiatkin
Hitman, the output for a standard 5.0 block for 89-93 Mustang is around 225 hp and 300 ft.lbs. of torque..... the best source is probably your local wrecking yard, whole wrecked mustangs go for cheap ! or you can get a motor and tranny assembly, already pulled for around 750.00 in my area (w/ harness, accessories etc...) Your best heads for the buck would seem to be the "Air Flow Research" 165 cc Aluminum heads, here is a great article using these heads and a 1990 5.0L sbf. from a mustang http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0307_ford/index.html this is a great article for a 5.0 build up !!! Here is another great website for 5.0's http://www.jason.fletcher.net/tech/specifications/specs2.htm best of luck and document thoroughly all you do with a ford small block, as not many have done this swap and we could all use this help !!
