Retrofiting SU's on my 280z, few Q's

Ok, I have two round top SUs w/maifold on their way to me (I hope) that I'm gona use to replace my dying/PITA stock FI. Im probly gona throw a rebuild kit on them (depending how bad they look) or at the very least, take apart and clean evrything real good.

First question, will I need to put diffrent jets/? in the carbs to run them on my stock L28 (I think they came off a 260z) If so, what should I put in? Sorry guys, Im a bit of a newbie with carbs, but it's cheaper for me right now to get my car going on some carbs. (Evryone and their brother can fiddle with carbs. Who can figure out the stock FI anymore?!?)

Second Q; I'm thinkin of retaining the stock fuel pump out back, and running like so; Pump--filter--in line presure regulator---carb--carb--return

Does this look right? Or am I missing something?

Danger, Danger Will Robinson!

first.. your fuel pump will not last long doing that...it is putting out 30+ psi and your carbs need 3. that is too much difference... you will kill that pump.

Holly blue 7psi pump will work, and fit in the stock holder on your 280. You still need a regulator (my holly blue came with one)

second. Don't worry about rejetting the carbs, just set them and have fun. They will flow enough and be able to supply enough fuel for you, unless your motor is super modded. the stock jets are plenty good...

Ok, well my pump is looking pretty ugly anyway, and I was thinking of replacing it no mater what. What did your holly pump cost you? As for the carbs, that sound good to me! I spent tonite cleaning them and they seam in really good shape. I hoping to just replace the gaskets, bolt them on and go. Just wondering... what should the initial setting be for these carbs?
