auxilary
I am driving home, and on my way home there's a house where there are always number of different cars parked out front for sale. Any year car and model, from '58 chevy truck to mid 90s mazdas. Today I saw a bright orange '72 240z in the front. It had decent rims from 80s, momo steering wheel. I've talked to this guy before, so I wondered what he's asking for the car. He wasn't home for me to ask, but knowing that he posts on CL, I looked up hte car and found it. here's how the ad reads, and in parentheses I will explain how it's false. ------------------------------------------- must see this classic 240Z car!!!!! - $3800 ------------------------------------------- this car is so clean and runs perfect. (clean on the ouside) rebuilt motor sent off to washington for factory overhaul ,it purrs. (bullshit. Based on my experience talking to him twice before, I will be $20 that it's a stocker with 150k miles on it. The oilpan was dirty) the body is perfect& rust free with BRAND new paint (Yes, earl scheib quality. It felt like sandpaper when I rubbed it, and he oversprayed the taillights, gas tank, exhaust, suspension, etc.) custom rims& new tires (yeah, ROADHUGGER tires. Rims where some cheap knockoff of american racing) no smog ever required (ok, this is true) 4speed,super super fast car. (superfast? Unless 17 sec 1/4 mile car is considered fast...) bright orange w/black interior. (yeap. see paint comments above. Interior is torn up beyond belief. Torn seats, cracked dash, lack of carpet. The only redeeming quality was a very nice momo steering wheel worth $170 new) i wish i had pictures cause then you'd see how nice this one is. (haha it's not!) a great everyday driver sportscar that is seriously impressive. (Sure, if you knock hte price down to say... $1,200-1,500) ---------------- this guy claimed to be the "Z car king of the 80s" I shit you not. He got all pissed off at me when I pointed out to him that the reason another Z he had didn't have working brakes is because there was no fluid in the cylinder http://www.craigslist.org/eby/car/26131496.html
