Guest 4.3L 280z
I've did some reading about this, basically I'm wanting to make a complete rollcage in my z so its as strong and safe as possible I've seen a couple pics on here of what I'm talking about. The thing is I've already stripped it down and rebuilt it and the 4.3's goin in next week. I'm wanting to build it while its up and running so I don't have a lot of downtime. Is this possible? I know I'm going to have to take stuff apart but I don't want to do it all at once again. I may have someone else do it to depending on how hard it looks. Wat are some good books to read on this subject? Any specific to the z car?
Guest 4.3L 280z
Also I'm wanting it to be strong enouph so I can put aluminum parts such as fenderwells without having to worry about it twisting.
johnc
Do a search. This topic has been covered a lot on this site and the jury is still out on whether a roll cage in a street car is safe. IMHO its not because of the chances of hitting an un-helmeted head against the cage.
