Guest comeandzpa
I used to hear a slight ticking noise on acceleration. Now its growing louder...when I accelerate, there's a "baseball card in the spokes" type of ticking noise coming from the engine, it gets faster as RPM's increase. Anybody have this before, what is it, and how much more money am I going to have to dump into keeping this thing alive?
wheelman
Can you tell whether the noise is coming from the top or bottem end of the engine? When was the last time you adjusted your valve lash? It could be lifters that are out of adjustment. Wheelman
sims76
1. Check valve adjustment as suggested. 2. Make sure that there is no exhaust gas leaking from in between your head and exhaust manifold. Also check where your exhaust manifold meets your exhaust piping.
Guest bastaad525
Definately sounds like an exhaust leak to me.
