Question about the stamping of a JDM 300ZX LSD

That's an R230 Viscous LSD from a 90-96 Z32 twinturbo. Ratio is 3.7. It can be made to fit the early Z for about $1000 - you can search R230 or just look back about a page in Drivetrain forum. Don't know about the ZX

Hope this helps - Doug

I doing a sbc swap with the t56 tranny. So why the cost of the 1000 bucks to do the swap? Shouldn't you be able to change the universals out? I'm not to sure. Thanks for all the help. Also i have a 1980 280ZX.

That differential is different from the one in your car. You will need new mounts and axle shafts to use it. It is shorter and wider than the one you have and the axles are different. If you are looking for a bolt in than you need to find a LSD from an 87-89 Turbo 300zx. These are getting hard to find though.
