Kennysgreen280zt
Hey all, I tryed the search feature but couldnt find any hard info on this subject. I was wondering if the 300zx (z31) five lug hubs are used when converting a 240-280z over to 5 lug. I did a test fit at the junkyard, but wasnt 100% on thier fitment. Any info, or maybe a how to on this would be great. Thanks!! ~Kenny {edit} I forgot to mention, im planning the swap onto a 75 280z
v8dats
i think u need a lil spacer to make it fit.take a look at ross's stuff or jsk bot good quality stuff but the jsk solution looks a lil flashier with his fancy hat
j260z
yes, the hubs are a direct swap (they use the same bearings as the early z's) the difference is that they sit out 3/4" farther than the stock hubs so you will need a spacer between the hub and rotor to get things back in line. you will also have to use the 300zx dust seal and modify it to fit on the z spindle as the early z dust seal is too large to fit on the new hub. check out http://www.modern-motorsports.com or http://www.jskinnovations.com/Datsun.htm for the other required parts. Kennysgreen280zt
cool, thanks for the info guys, a nice Z31 5 lug car just showed up at the junkyard, non turbo of course. I will be pulling the hubs and doing the swap soon. now I have to find some 5 lug 16" wheels
