fly wheels ....all the same? ASAP

i'm putting an auto tranny in my 260z. are the manual and auto flywheels the same ? and if not what do the autos look like..example teeth count..

Auto flywheels are called flexplates. They have a "thick sheetmetal" body, as opposed to the thick metal of a flywheel and are much lighter. They do have the same outer diameters and number of teeth as flywheels do. I think most of us V8 Zers use smaller diameter, 153 tooth flywheels/flexplates.

If you are changing out a manual tranny on the stock 260 engine - don't forget to get the flexplate spacer from the same place you get your flexplate. It is stuck on the end of the crank between the crank flange and the flexplate. You need it to put an auto on the L-series.
