Guest bastaad525
Just wondering what products, if any, you guys have used that do good to clean or keep clean the injectors. This is on a L28ET, if that matters. I used to dump a can of Berryman's B-12 Chemtool in the fuel like once a month, as I've heard that stuff is supposed to clean really well, however, I also hear that it's great for eating thru hoses, so stopped using it. I know some guys say that marvel mystery oil is good in the fuel as well. I've never really had a problem that I knew was caused by dirty injectors, but I want to do something that will work to keep them clean, w/o having to remove them. What about the service that companies like Jiffy Lube provide? For like $50-90 they have a fuel system cleaning service but I haven't really gotten them to tell me exactly what is involved or how it cleans the injectors. Anyone ever had this done, and can say if it helps or not?
BayAreaZT
I've heard good things about chevron's techron. I haven't used it regularly myself but I have seen it recommended by a few car clubs including Porsche Cars North America.
