Guest blown408
Sorry if this is a well worn subject, i'm just at somewhat of a loss. What is the stock offset for the 14x6 rims? +12mm...10mm? If i buy adapters that are 4x113.4 to 4x100 in 32mm size, will it require rims with a +42mm offset? Will these adapters work with a 17x7 rim, with a 42mm offset, in 4x100 pattern, with these adpaters? The car has stock 82 suspension, and has not been lowered. I just need to get some modern wheels on it, and can get a good deal on rims with tires. i think they are 205/45/17z's. TIA Jody
zxgts-4
Hi Jody Standard 280ZX 14x6 are 10mm offset if you go to 7in width the offset needs to come back to 0mm offset to maintain front steering geometry. Use author search of 80lt1 or check out his website as I know he has done something similar. Neil
80LS1T
Yes I have. I am using Modern Motor Sports "Honda wheel adapter". What is does is allow me to use a +40mm offset rim on my 280ZX. This way basically any rim that would fit a Honda I can use. I am using the adapters and a +42mm off set Konig rim and they fit perfect! 8) Mine are 17x7's with 225/45/ZR17(and Y rated) BFG KD Radail TA's Guy
Guest blown408
Thanks, i am going to bid on some 17x7 KMC Unit's, they are 42mm offset, so this should work just fine.
