Guest bigkool79
I know you guys get a lot of newbies. Sorry. Here's my sitch. I'm not acually working on any swaps. A friend reffered me here and I've found some priceless information on the forum. I've aquired a '66 Chevy with a 327 V-8 from my brother. It quit running on him. The cylinders all have compression, I've had to replace the coil, redo the distibutor cap wiring. Some bonehead put them in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 order instead of the correct firing order . I'm in the process of adjusting the timing to the correct timing (haven't got the specs yet but getting them). My nephew told me he put jet fuel in his tank. Now normally I wouldn't belive this but he worked at an airport and had access to this. I got a little information on the jet fuel and one type is a low lead gasoline and the other is basically kerosene. Any idea as to how much damage this will do and how to correct this. Tim240z
If it's jet fuel, then you have a problem...drain and flush. If it's avgas (aviation fuel - prop planes) then no problem, it's just high octane leaded fuel. Tim
