violacleff
Just curious where most of you mount your Boost, EGT, Air/Fuel gauges. Pics would be great though not necessary.
Guest bastaad525
the "traditional" place for the boost gauge seems to be in place of the stock clock on the center/right of the dash. Lots of us put them there.for egt and a/f or stuff like that, look into getting a gauge pod, either one that mounts to the dash, or on the A-pillar. Other guys fabricate mounting plates and mount them in the center lower section of the dash, where the stereo/heater controls are.
violacleff
I'm guessing noone makes an a pillar pod for a 240z. I know one guy on here is using Miata ones. Is this the closest fit to the Z. I'm not that skilled with using a heat gun and what not.
Guest bastaad525
yeah there are none for the 240 specifically but like you said I think the miata ones can be made to fit well with little work. My dash was already cracked so I had no problem bolting an autometer tach to my dash. There's lots of places to put them.... lots of guys have pics on here with some good ideas of gauge placement. Check out Tim240z's car, he's got a lot of guages installed in his Z.... some great ideas there.
HB280ZT
I did a search and did not find what size Autometer gauge is used when you replace the clock? Also any tricks to install the gauge? This will be for my 77 280Z. Thanks
