Hi, I first just want to say that unlike most forums around, Im really impressed with how helpful the people that make up this board are. I really appreciate it!

Anyways, as some of you may know Im gathering all the info I can on swapping a LS1/LT1 in my 84 300ZX. But I am getting caught up on the engine mounting and how it will work. So I was wondering if anyone has ever compared the 280z custom mounts to a 300zx chassis, just to see how much modifications would need to be made to make the 280 work. Also, if anyone has the LS1/LT1 in there 300zx please let me know! ! Thanks for your time guys!!!!!

LT1 mounts just like the older generation SBCs. LS1 is completely different.

For specifics, click on the search button at the top of the page and search for LS1 mounts in the Chevy forum.

Thanks.....but can anyone tell me, or does anyone know how much modifications can be done to the 280 kit to fit in a Z31? or is it even possible? I know by putting a SBC in a Z31 is a bit out of the ordinary around here, most everyone is doing 280's but I think it would be awesome to have a LS1 Z31. Thanks for your help!

well Ive obviously tried.... I cant find anything, so Im guessing know one has ever tried it. All I find is how they are not making them for the Z31 right now, but that still doesnt answer my question. Anyone?
