dustin280zx Posted May 7, 2004 Share Posted May 7, 2004 hey, this seems like a really helpful board and i got a question. i want to put a ls1/t56 in my 83 280zx coupe. I did some researching and saw that they only had the kits for the z and not zx. Is there a way a could modify the kit to mount in my zx? thanks. 80LS1T Posted May 7, 2004 Share Posted May 7, 2004 If your going to modify the kit you might as well just make the mounts yourself. Why buy motor mounts that dont fit so that you have to modify them? Just make them your self and save some $$$. Since the ZX firewall is 3" forward of where the Z's is the mounts will not work unless you modify the firewall!
