CasperIV
I am looking to get curb weights on 240z - 280z's and do some comparing. Yeah, I'm thinking I want to start a project of one of these old Z's, but all I can seem to get a hold of are 280's and I want to see if one would work. Soon I hope to sell my other project, an 85 300zx, and use the money to buy an older Z.

RB26powered74zcar
get yourself a "early" 260z, they are just as good/ nice as the 240.... ask me, I know. I've had both and belive you'd be just as happy with either... I think my early 260 is pretty dang close in curb weight to the later 240's
Guest bastaad525
I'm looking for a good link that has them listed BY YEAR, not just by model. They do vary a lot in areas like curb weight from year to year. The earliest 240's clocked it at like 2200lbs, later 240's were well above 2300... that's a big difference when you're going for performance. HP numbers had some variations as well. Now that they are smog legal, I wouldn't scoff at 260 or even an early 280... and they are SO much cheaper than comparable 240's. Seriously thinking of getting another Z soon (okay well daydreaming is more like it) just for a daily driver... promise I'll keep it stock a 260 or 280 would fit the bill nicely.
