Sumo
Anyone try this winch yet? Think it'll pull a 280z on a trailer? http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=43331

spork
A buddy of mine has one. It's definetely slow but we pulled a suburban up on a trailer with it...I think it'll do a z car and be much happier too. James
Sumo
Well if it can pull a Suburban i guess it will handle a Z with one wheel locked up.
spork
I'd try to unlock that wheel first. Rolling weight versus actually draggin a car are completely different. If the brakes are locked up, find a way to unlock them first. It works a lot better to get it up and onto the ramps of the trailer anyways. rags
Slow is better than manual. I converted my boat trailer to a car trailer when we upgraded the boat. I use the manual winch on the trailer to pull the car on the trailer when I break things. Even though the boat was 9000 pounds compared to the Z the Z was much more of a pain in the butt to get on the trailer. The car has to be pulled much further and it's isn't floating. Looks like a good find.
Sumo
I'd try to unlock that wheel first Yeah, i guess i have too jack up the left rear and try to see if i can get the shoes to back off a little bit so i can release the drum. I'm not in a hurry to buy the winch, i see it all the time for sale in Harbor Freight. 8)
