280zrice Posted May 23, 2004 Share Posted May 23, 2004 I AM LOOKING TO LOWER MY 77,280Z , NOT TO RADICAL I HAVE STANDARD KYB STRUTS ,STRUT BARS FOR REINFORCEMENT, I HAVE HEARD THAT THE 240Z STRUT TOWER INSULATORS ARE SHORTER THAN THE 280Z, IF THIS IS TRUE, WILL THEY FIT ON MY 280 AND LOWER IT ABOUT AN INCH OR SO WITHOUT ANY MAJOR MODIFICATONS OR OTHER PARTS. ZROSSA Posted May 23, 2004 Share Posted May 23, 2004 I have been through this a couple of times myself. The most consitstant answer was that the early isolater will lower a late model car 3/4 of and inch. Motor sport auto has a kit that will replace the late ones with early ones and give you haevy duty bushings as well. Could be worth looking into.
