Guest BigWhyteDude
Well do you want a manual or an auto? For a manual look into a t-5. For an auto look into a 700R4. I know someone else is going to say it so i might as well get it out of the way. Use the search button on the left side of the page and search in the drivetrain forum. Just type in 700R4 or T-5 or tranny in you should come up with a plethora of info about trans choices. As far as a driveshaft you can have a stock GM one cut and rewelded to the specs you need. Since you say you are only wanting to put down less than 300 HP that should do you just fine. Good luck to you. Andrew
Tim240z
For that whopping HP, you could use just about any tranny . 200 4R is a nice overdrive tranny that tend to be more available in the JYs as the 700R4s tend to snapped up....look at the buicks too. A google search will give you a list of vehicles to look for. Any driveshaft will do....either way you will have to have it cut and rebalanced by a driveline shop and a correct flange installed for whichever diff you have.... Tim240z
Do a search in the drivetrain forum for T5...it's been discussed several bazillion times...no point rehashing it here.... Tim
