Guest FordMotherFocus
First time pulling my motor and was wondering if its possible to pull only the motor and not the tranny with it? Is there usually enough room back there to unbolt the engine from the tranny while still in the car?
Guest timhypo
There sure wasn't on the 302 I removed from my buddie's F150 last year and that's a small motor in a roomy engine compratment. Plus PIA factor figures into it. How are you gonna retorque the bolts when you reattach it?
80LS1T
What's so bad about removing the tranny? There isn't that many things holding it in.
Sumo
It's been done before, but you're gonna have to have an air ratchet cause it gets tight. It's easier to just take it out with the tranny attatched. Hope it helps.
