Centerline Wheels

Just what I have been waiting for. Centerline wheels announced on their website that in August they will offer 6 styles of wheels in sizes 15 16 and 17 which they will build for you. You will be able to specify width and backspace for a perfect fit, plus they will give you suggestions on fitment. I hope they will be cheaper than the other companies that offer custom built wheels. Plus they will offer a wheel with a 4 on 4.5 bolt pattern.

I have a set of Center Line wheels that I bought through Discount Tire 3-4 years ago. 16x7 with 0 offset, 4x4.5 lug pattern. The wheels were specially made to my specifications. Maybe they quit doing it for a while? They certainly were doing it then.

Phantom, your offset is a standard offset that they've shown in their wheels for as long as I can remember. My friend just ordered his Centerlines in 16x7 with 4" backspacing (0 offset) with 225s. They look good. When I checked with Centerline about 6 months ago, they only came in the offsets they listed, usually in 1" increments in backspacing but skipping 4.5" as they usually go 4 & 5 inch). Anyway, I see they cut down their designs in wheels for our cars from 13 to only 6 starting this year. Bummer! At any rate, my local guy said they go for about $200/wheel. Not bad, especially if you can get the exact offset you want.

I haven't looked at Center Lines lately. Do they have any of the new rotary forged wheels in 16 or 17 that would fit?

I've had some folks tell me that the earlier wheels occaisionally tend to change shape - especially if you drive them daily across RR trakcs, speed bumps, etc. I do know for certain that Mine take a Hurculean effort to balance.
