Guest potterma
I'm a new owner of a 280zx (1981 non-turbo) and need to know what chassis mods will be necessary, and how to go about them, for a successful high output V8 conversion. Is there a good page for reference for this? What about JTR? How much of their manuals are valuable to later Z's? Looks like they concentrate on the earlier Z's. Are their kits viable to the '81 ZX? Thanks....
pparaska
This has come up before, so you ought to use the search button at the top of the forum to search for 280ZX and see what you get. I don't think the 280ZX needs alot of reinforcement as compared to the 240Z for running 350ish ftlb of torque. More than that and a roll bar tied in well is always good. Ross C and jhaag should be able to help. Although the JTR focuses only on the earlier Z's, alot of the info is still useful for a ZX conversion as well, especially if you're going with a SBC.
