MYRON
Hey guys, I scored a CBR600 FI motor the other day and I am thinking about sticking it in a buggy or kart chassis... Does anyone know the aproximate HP/TQ of a this late model motor... Since it is FI I think it is 2001 or newer... I cant find any HP#'s on the web... Also the swingarm is the "A" frame style, not just the arm coming back from the frame.... It looks like it is LOW miles and the oil looks pristeen.... Hoping I got a good one! CruxGNZ
Holy crap, you're going to stick that thing into a kart or buggy??? That will be a quick ride. I was ridding my cousins F4i home last night from Summerfest and just for the heck of it, I wanted to see if I could do a burn out at 40 mph, and it lit the rear tire up just fine 8) . I'm really impressed with Honda's FI engines. My but-o-meter would have to say there is around 95-100 hp to the rear wheel. EDIT: Damn, I was pretty dang close on the hp numbers. I found this on the engine. http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mccompare/01600/f4i.html !M!

Chaparral2f
How about putting it in a quad? Friend has an "almost stock" 1100 Ninja in a quad, and it is real scary.
Guest Thurem
Crap just hit a button on the keyboard and deleted almost the whole message. I remember reading 106 hp at the crank. Make sure you have everything from the bike when you go to install it. You will need to have the wiring harness, computer, fuelpump from tank, tipover sensor (if so equipped), instrument cluster, etc, etc. OR IT MIGHT NOT RUN... Been there done that.
