Guest Loose_Screws
Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement fuel tank for my '77 280Z? I don't want a fuel cell because it requires modification of the trunk, etc. My options are get another tank from a junkyard, which will probably be in similar condition, or have a radiator shop POR-15 my tank, which will cost $150. Thoughts?
Guest 305240
As far as I know, no one makes fuel tanks for the Z cars. God, I wish they did. Best bet is look around in the JY's and see if you can find a good one. They are still out there, at least on the west coast and southwest areas. 280Zone
I have some from the SouthWest, but my advice to you is to find another radiator shop. I had mine boiled and cleaned for $60. I did have to remove it and take it down there though.
SpeedRacer
I think this should be in the "Fuel Delivery" section but here it goes. Take it out and drop it off at your local Gas Tank RenU dealer http://www.gastankrenu.com/welcome.htm They do an awesome job and it comes with a lifetime nationwide warranty! Yeah, I saw a post you made on them when doing a search. Unfortunately, there aren't any dealers in Alabama. I guess it's off to the radiator shop and have them clean it. Then's it's sealer time! *silence* I guess no one wants to help!
DaleMX
I know that POR-15 has a tank sealer. http://www.prp-porstore.com/POR-15-Tank-Sealer.html Hope this helps. Dale
SpeedRacer
Sorry Gas Tank RenU dosen't have a franchise near you. You might try Eastwood. They have a complete kit to recondition a gas tank http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=382&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=gas+tank
