Guest 2slo4u
How does "shutting a cylinder down" benefit an engine when the other cylinders still have to push it up and down? It would seem that driving a two cylinder air compressor would take some horsies away from the engine and negate fuel mileage saving? Does the computer ignore the extra O2 in the exhaust when this is happening? This would be cool for people that bounce their vehicles with air pressure, they could fabricate valves at the spark plug to constantly keep their tanks pressurized, ha ha. My granpa had one of those cadillacs back in 87 and it had nothing but problems. Of course Dodge and GM are two different companies. Dodge...different...Dodge...different, remember the commercial?
