philiow313 Posted July 10, 2004 Share Posted July 10, 2004 doing a headgasket job on my 81 ZX non turbo. is there a way to get the chain and sprocket back on the cam without dissasembling the front of the motor to get at the crank sprocket and chain tensioner? i dont want to take all that off if i dont have to... and if it is necessary to remove all that.... does the radiator need to come out? If not there is a tool that is specifically designed to block the chain and tensioner so that you don't have to take everything apart - it costs something like $10 from Motorsport Auto.
