Guest RCNSC
Ok so Im looking at the pics of the Vello Rossa and I notice the tach redline is at 6500. I think back to my car... 7K, right? I ask Mike (ON3GO) and he tells me its a a 240Z thing. Cool.... So are the differences just between a 280Z and a 240Z tach or what? Also, does the 240Z motor rev higher? AND..... Im putting a 280zX motor (N/A, L28/E31 head, dished pistons) in... how high can I rev... BEFORE I go BOOM? Heres the picture I went out and snapped. akeizm
L series engines are tough! In good running order they can withstand a crapload. I remember I missed a gear once and revved the car off the tacho twice (rev rev heh) think thats over 8000rpm. Didnt do any damage to the thing. L's love revs!
