  1. Congrats on the Head. I've been watching it for quite a while and its nice to see it running. But I also had a chuckle at the comments in that link. "His way is ghetto as ♥♥♥♥, I could have did better. Then again I would have never thought of that in the first place." Well the challenge is there, lets see him build a head now.
  2. I may have the answer, need to invert the spark in msns (was a suggestion from the ms forums). Yep it worked.
  3. Hey all, I've been having problems with my Z where after I go for a run, turn it off it wont start again for about 10mins, or if it does it miss fired like hell. So I thought it was my ignition module. I replaced my module with an MSD6a cause my mate had one on his 280zxt and worked very well. With it installed, I started the car and it was smooth, but when I tried to drive it, it had no power. The you could hear the turbo spooled but it would take forever for the car to go up through the revs, and I mean forever! I'm running MSnS'e with an MSD6A ignition box on a Mallory Promaster E-coil (#30440). This has only showed up since I've put the MSD box in. Any suggestions? Thanks, Marc.
  4. Complete joke. If they were to so sue someone it would have been the driver but if hes dead then thats it. But because the driver was either dead or poor they see no value in it so go after some higher power/business. Well done to another brillantly called case in the land of the big fat lawsuit. Heh jonzer12, nah sue because the governemt didnt didnt look forward in time and see that you were going to have an accident into that pole.

  6. I was going to say hope your wrapping it. My 3" DP is pretty much the same as the one you made. And it has burnt the paint on my firewall....I'm now wrapping it. I put 1 layer on and it still gets so damn hot so I'm gonna do a few more layers. And the DP aint right next to the firewall either there is a bit of space.
  7. Now thats an L Turbo. I was looking doing another block stroked balanced forged etc and I have a spare n42 head. Pretty much that motor you got is the one I had envisioned in my head. I envy you....

  11. I want to go the full msa type 3 kit but they dont make 2+2 versions of those side skirts unless I want to mod them myself.

  13. A stock setup with 13psi and an Intercooler wont get you to 275rwhp. I know that as I cant seem to get past 220rwhp @ 13psi (with the usual mods people do, 3inch exhaust, ic, msns-e, larger injectors etc etc)

  15. I had problems with my z recently where it would run lean, then rich as hell but most of the time rich. And it was due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator. Check that out or replace it, because if thats faulty it wont be restricting the fuel to get you the right pressure.
  16. The firing order is 1 5 3 6 2 4 in an anti clockwise rotation. The no1 plug is usually indicated on the distributor cap by a vertical line running up the size of the distributor cap.

  18. I would check your spark plugs, spark plug leads and distributor cap (I found I was running on 5 cylinders because 1 of the leads came out of the distributor cap). Any one of those can stop a cylinder from firing. When you lost the 4 cylinders, was it all at once, or was it gradually getting worse?
  19. Mines in the cold start injector hole. But I would want it as close as I can to the motor cause whats the point in taking the temp of the air else where, when its going to be a different temp when it get into the engine.
  20. I'm running NGK's at a gap of .026" (Running at 6psi, using msns-e, i/c, gt turbo, 440cc injectors, walbro 255 pump) And they will most probably be smaller after today. Its being tuned at the shop for 15psi. That gap is too large zdriffter. I used to run .040" gap like a manual told me for solid spark but that gap was WAY to big. So that will be a pretty good reason for your problems. Just gap them to around what other people have them at (like the examples in your thread).
  21. DONT get an ebay turbo....alot of people have bought off one off there (including myself) and have gotten burnt (mine was stuffed right off the bat). But with that sort of build you should get the power you are looking for.
