Guest goldraven
well, its official, my Z is on the road now. Fired her up for the first time today, and everything went perfectly. after about 2 hrs. past the first fire-up, after fixing a few bugs i took her out. Since it is a rebuilt engine i couldn't really hammer it...but at quarter pedal it was pulling hard enough to push my head to my seat. The roar of the engine is such ecstacy, it is exactly the way i wanted it to sound. People in town recognized it from before i did the swap, and in just the first 10 miles that i took it out, i got a compliment from someone. My car is a Hybrid V8Z. it is an '80 280zx. has a 350 sbc. i rebuilt it and it should have around 425hp/torque, sure felt like it today. it is using a tremec T5 transmission. I would just like to thank a couple of people on Hybrid Z that helped me throughout this swap, if it were not for you guys i would have never done it. First off is Dave Greimann. he stopped posting on here about half a year ago when he sold his car. but his posts are most informative. Second is Guy Grenfell (80LT1) His website is very helpful, along with dave Greimann's website. And third, the admins of this site for keeping it extremely helpful. I'll try and get some pictures of my car up in the next few days so you guys can check it out. Thanks again Nick Lenk
