Guest RED280
Hey guys. I've been planning a 302 swap into my 76 280z for probally 2 years now and finally have money saved up and a pretty clear plan. Today I'm going to look at a 74 Mustang that has a 302 HO from a 87 LSC with a t-5 behind it. I've been lurking on this forum for a long time, purschased and read the JTR book a couple times and needless to say, I'm very excited. My question is this...I know about the crossmember Al makes, is he still selling them? I send him an e-mail a few days ago from his site, havent heard anything yet and was wondering if any one had recently bought one or if anybody has one they arent going to be using. Thanks yall Jp Plank
Dan Juday
I believe Mike Dennis, a.k.a. BOTIZ, was fabbing those for him. Might want to drop Mike a PM.
Lengeo
I just bought one of Al's mounts a few weeks ago. Contacted him through his web site. Top quality design and workmanship! Lenn
Rival5
Lengeo what year 5.0 are you using? Is it FI? I've been thinking of using Al's mounts in my 77 280Z with a T5. I'll hopefully get a trans and engine in the next 4 or 5 months. good luck with your swap. mike
Lengeo
I'm planning to use the 87-92 HO 5.0 that comes with notched, forged pistons and roller cam. I'll add AFR aluminum heads with a manifold and carb setup. If I can afford it, I'll install a high performance clutch, Lakewood scatter shield and G-Force T-5 transmission. The theme I'm going to follow with my Z is that of the 289 FIA Cobras.
