280z Rearend into 240z Question

Hi All;

I put a 280z rearend in my 240z and it's waaaaay up there' Is the fix as simple as changing the top of the strut where it bolts to the body?

for clarification - rear end is considered to be the differential. rear suspension + differential is considered to be struts, control arms, diff, etc.

 

to answer your question, use 240z strut hats - 280z ones are 3/4" taller
