Guest m35514h
I am having my engine put together at Kim Barr performance engines, and i was wondering if i should get a set of TRW forged or Keith Black Hypereutectic both will be flat top. I am making my setup able to have nitrous if i dont think i have enough power.
QWKDTSN
Either would be fine... I'd go with forged for peace of mind.... I went with forged in my NA setup because I didn't consider 200 dollars for a set to be a big deal for peace of mind... and bragging rights
Guest Bob L
I'd definitely go forged if there's a good chance you are going to spray it.
pparaska
I agree with spending a bit more to go forged, but consider a few things: -Forgerd pistons can give cold engine piston slap. -TRW forgings are pretty heavy. -Probe Industries makes some nice "low expansion" SRS forged pistons that are pretty reasonably priced, and lighter.
