Guest butlersZ Posted August 11, 2004 Share Posted August 11, 2004 Quick question...On a '78Z there are three wires coming from the fuel sending unit, black, yellow, and yellow/green. Which is which? I assume that the black is ground, the yellow hot and the yellow/green is the sending wire? is that correct? My chilton book sucks and doesn't show anything. Is there a way to find out with a multimeter? black = ground yellow = float level yellow/green = low fuel level indicator. This is off a '77, (yellow/green is yellow/blue on mine). COZY Z COLE Posted August 12, 2004 Share Posted August 12, 2004 The 78 FSM also shows yellow with blue stripe to the fuel warning lamp.
