Guest jake
I searched for info on fuel cells but have not found anything on running a filler tube though the stock location. Has anyone done this?
Tim240z
First ask yourself why you want/need a fuel cell.....
Guest jake
Again, I'm curious of anyone has run the filler tube through the stock location?
Tim240z
Hmmm...I dunno...What do you think? The only reason I went with a cell is because I didn't have, and couldn't find a OEM tank.....
Guest jake
Didn't know you had a cell, Are you gonna let me know how you set it up or do I need to beg?

Guest jake
Just checked it out. Some great fab work going on there. I saw the hole for the cell and noticed you shaved the filler door. I didn't see any pics with the cell in there though. do you open the deck lid to fill or behind the tag?

Guest jake
That looks like a good idea. Thanks for the pics. Do you get that gas smell after fueling? I would imagine it stinks up the car?
CruxGNZ
In the last picture, you can see Tim's test panel for the custom paint job he wanted before he went with the dark purple !M!

Jake, I have filled up 3 times and smelled no fuel afterwards....
Guest jake
Cool, just figured it might cause trouble. I've been having trouble with my stock tank. I can't get it to fill up all the way. I guess it's because I left out the expansion tank. I don't understand why nissan had to run so many hoses. It seems that a fuel cell is much more simple and it can hold more fuel! It seems I fill the tank every 5 minutes...
