Guest zfan
My friend has a sbc 305 TPI set up. My question is can I use that TPI set up on my carbed 350 sbc pick up or is it not enough for it. The pick up is a long bed 1983 Silverado with a sbc 350/700r4 combo. I am going to use it for daily transpo and towing my poor Z to the track and back. 80LS1T
I thought everyone always said that the TPI's were good for low end torque but not for high RPM's. That would be ideal for a truck wouldnt it? Guy
Guest 73TPIZ
Great low to mid range torque. On a 350, the stock TPI intake will fall off on HP above ~5k, but that'd be great for a truck. (not bad for a 240Z w/ a tall gear either ) 1500-5000 rpm is wonderful. There are several books out for <30 bucks that show wire by wire how to rig a stock harness/compu on any engine/chassis combo. the F-bodies also keep the engine harness fairly seperate from the chassis harness so its not much trouble to take one from a junkyard donor. Take care.
