staledale Posted August 29, 2004 Share Posted August 29, 2004 To all the pro painters out there, what is your opinion on the 3M scuff pads? I'm old school, I've used 400 wet for paint jobs but a lot of people say to use the red scuff pads. Can they be used for a repaint? I'm doing a truck that has dents and a little rust repair, but the main paint is in nice shape as far as no orange peel or chips. With all the dings and dents on all panels I'm spraying the whole truck. (all ready wet sanded) and I just wondered about the scuff pads for the next job. Thanks for any info. john kosmatka Posted August 30, 2004 Share Posted August 30, 2004 In our shop we use the red scuff pads, they work well, but lately we've been doing wetsand with the 400 grit.
