Guest 2slo4u
Just got finished tinkering with the car for today and checked a few things out. I installed a clear glass fuel filter on the return line to see how much fuel flow there was and if there was much air in it. Well, there always seems to be air bubbles in it while running. When you rev the engine, there is way more air. Is this normal? I thought since the fuel was taken from the bottom of the tank and it was pressurized after the pump, there wouldn't be any air bubbles. I made sure the suction hose was airtight so none could get in there, but it did not help. Are the bubbles normal? I have over 3/4 tank of fuel. SHO-Z
When the fuel goes to the engine it is under pressure of arould 50 psi or so. It takes a pressure drop in the return valve. This drop can cause some of the fuel to vaporize. As the fuel returns to the tank it will cool and condense. This is one reason you have a pressurized fuel system on the car.
