Guest jeremyvaldez
This is the setup I plan on doing 350 chevy with a turbo 350 for now. what am i going to need to do to mount it. Anybody have the the blueprints for the zx mounts I dont want to pay the 300 for the mounting kit. If no one has the blue prints. can i buy the mounts one by one not the whole set. I know jtr has the mounts separately but there for the early z not the zx. Can anyone help me. I want to get this in asap
80LS1T
Are you talking about the 280ZX or a 300ZX? If you are talking about a 280ZX, you should check out the JTR site again. They are selling parts for the 280ZX V8 conversion now. Including headers for the rack & pinion ZX's! I didnt see mounts listed but I am pretty sure you can use the JTR mounts minus the set back plates(for the motor). All the set back plates do is put the engine back 3" closer to the firewall than the ZX because the firewall is 3" farther back. I have pictures of the MSA mounts on my site but I dont have dimensions of them. All they do is change the Datsun 2 bolt pattern to a Chevy 3 bolt pattern and put the proper amount of spacing needed in. Also with the MSA mounts you still use the datsun rubber mounts that connect to the crossmember. Guy
