OK, There I was....in the garage going to put a new head gasket on my leaking head and try to get this thing started and wouldn't you know a snapped head bolt. Got pissed and was looking on ebay that night and bought the msa kit, then ordered the jtr manual for reference. 350 and turbo 350 tranny are the stuff I have coming. So for a cheap swap, i just need to look for any old 350 up to 1979 out of a junkyard is that right? This board has INSPIRED me...

If I read right, you have a '76 in California, which means you will need to smog check it for a few years. You will need a '76 or newer motor with all the trimmings. I believe the bolt pattern for the transmission will be compatible with engines all the way through the LT1 series. Someone might want to back me up on this.

I plan to title in TX. In the USMC so I think I can drive on out of state tags. 200 R4 thanks I will do some background checking on that.
