rustrocket
My white (original paint) 240z has numerous small spots, about the size of BB's. How do i stop these from getting worse? Also, i'm noticing some surface rust by the rear hatch hinge. same question applies. I'm not ready to spend the money for a new paint job, and i dont want the rust spots to get any worse this winter. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -rustrocket
Guest 305240
Sounds like you are in for a complete strip and repaint. I know, it's not what you want to hear, but it's the truth. If I were in your shoes, I'd find a sandblaster, blast the spots of rust, then hit it with some rattle can white. It should keep it from going any further until you can get it stripped and done right. Otherwise, you are looking for more work later. It's one of those things called pay me a little now, or pay me a bunch later.
